Care Instructions

If your woodenware loses its shine or starts to feel dry, then it is time to reapply some finish to it. Our items unless otherwise specified are finished with 100% pure tung oil and a coat of beeswax.

  • Bottle of Howard mineral oil also known as cutting board oil Get a small bottle of mineral oil or tung oil and apply a liberal amount to a paper towel.
  • Rub oil on the paper towel into the object until completely coated.
  • Apply beeswax to same paper towel with oil and rub into object until completely coated and object is left smooth.

An alternative to the above method is to get a bottle of butcherblock oil which is a mixture of mineral oil and wax. Apply as the directions indicate on the product.Bottle of Howard Buther block conditioner. This is a mixture or mineral oil and beeswax.
